I had my own little “bottle” moment on my run today that made me think of this Timberland commercial. While running across the Mass Ave Bridge (somewhere around 200 smoots) I noticed a beer bottle (Long Trail, actually) that was spinning precariously in the wind, and in danger of blowing into the Charles River. It made a sudden move to roll off the edge of the bridge, just before I reached down in stride and saved it from a fall to the murky waters below.
Now, I’m running across the bridge, middle of the day, with a mostly empty beer bottle in my hand. There’s a good look.
Once back on solid ground, I found the nearest trash can, but had to jump a fence to get there.
I gotta say, I felt pretty good about myself for doing that.
Disclosure: Timberland’s a client of mine, and I am a client of Long Trail Beer, on occasion.
